The Red Wing Marine Museum along with the Red Wing Photography Club sponsor the annual Phil Revoir Photo Contest. The club president and marine museum board president decide on the theme for the photo entries. In the past it has been boathouses, bridges and tugboats; all river-related. There are typically various sizes and photos submitted by photography club members. The theme will be announced in July and entries are displayed in the museum during the summer months. Visitors to the museum vote for their favorite artwork and the winner is announced at the annual River City Days parade. The winner receives a certificate of recognition and their name is engraved on the permanent award in Mr. Revoir’s honor.
The 2020 Phil Revoir Photo Contest theme will be “River Wildlife”
Guidelines to Enter Contest: All photos must be at least 8 x 11, matted and submitted to the museum 935 Levee Road, Red Wing, MN 55066. The Red Wing Photography Club will assist in the display of the photos in the museum. The judging will take place by visitors to the Red Wing Marine Museum.
